Chilled Cucumber Lime Drink with Mint

Cools gallbladder damp-heat, clears bile, promotes digestion, refreshes the mouth

Ingrediënten

  • 2 cucumbers (peeled, chopped)
  • 2 limes (juice and zest)
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 500 ml cold water
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: 1 cm fresh ginger (grated)

Bereiding

  1. Combine cucumber pieces, lime juice, lime zest, mint leaves and water in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Taste and add honey if desired.
  4. Strain through a sieve for a smoother texture (optional).
  5. Pour into glasses with ice cubes.
  6. Garnish with extra mint leaves.
  7. Serve immediately chilled.

Gebruiksadvies

Drink 1-2 glasses per day during acute symptoms. Serve chilled. Very suitable for warm weather or after fatty meals. Do not drink too much with cold stomach.

Contra-indicaties

Not for use with spleen-qi deficiency, chronic diarrhea, cold stomach, or pregnancy.
