Chilled Pear and Lotus Root Soup
Cools stomach fire, moistens the lungs, stops cough, clears stomach and intestines

Ingrediënten
- 2 ripe pears (peeled, cubed)
- 200g lotus root (peeled, thinly sliced)
- 10g white lily bulb (Bai He, dried)
- 10g goji berries
- 5 jujube dates (pitted)
- 1 liter water
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Optional: ice cubes
Bereiding
- Wash lotus root and slice thinly. Soak white lily bulb in warm water for 15 minutes.
- Combine water, pear, lotus root, lily bulb, goji berries and jujube in a pot.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Stir in honey before serving.
- Serve chilled, optionally with ice cubes.
Gebruiksadvies
Eat as a dessert or snack during warm weather. Serve chilled. Suitable for acute stomach fire symptoms. Maximum 2 times per week.
Contra-indicaties
Not for use with spleen-qi deficiency, loose stools, cold stomach, or during pregnancy.
