Chilled Pear and Pumpkin Soup
Moistens the lungs, cools dryness, nourishes lung-yin, soothes the throat

Ingrediënten
- 2 ripe pears (peeled, cored, cubed)
- 300g pumpkin (cubed)
- 10g white lily bulb (Bai He)
- 5 jujube dates (pitted)
- 1 liter water
- 1 tbsp honey
- Optional: 1 cinnamon stick
Bereiding
- Combine all ingredients except honey with water in a pot.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove from heat, let cool to room temperature.
- Blend with an immersion blender until smooth.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Stir in honey before serving.
- Serve chilled.
Gebruiksadvies
Eat as a dessert or light meal during dryness symptoms. Serve chilled. Preferably in autumn or during warm weather. Very suitable for acute dryness.
Contra-indicaties
Not for use with spleen-qi deficiency, loose stools, cold in the body, or during menstruation.
