Chrysanthemum Saffron Rosehip Tea
Moves stagnant Qi, circulates blood, resolves stasis, opens the chest and calms the liver

Ingrediënten
- 10g dried chrysanthemum flowers (Ju Hua)
- 5g dried rosehip (Rosa canina)
- 3-5 saffron threads (Crocus sativus)
- 1 tsp black peppercorns (freshly ground)
- 1 cm fresh ginger (sliced thin)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp dried rose petals (optional, for the liver)
- 500 ml water
- Optional: 1 tsp honey or stevia (to taste)
Bereiding
- Bring water with ginger, cinnamon stick and black pepper to a boil in a small pot.
- Turn off heat and add chrysanthemum flowers, rosehip, saffron threads and optional rose petals.
- Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain the tea through a fine sieve into a cup or teapot.
- Add honey or stevia if desired.
- Serve hot and drink slowly in small sips.
Gebruiksadvies
Drink 1-2 cups per day, preferably in the morning or afternoon. Steep for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot. Can be sweetened with a little honey. Preferably drink between meals for optimal absorption.
Contra-indicaties
Not for use during pregnancy (saffron in large amounts), acute bleeding, stomach ulcers, or severe spleen-qi deficiency. Caution with low blood pressure and blood thinners. Do not use for longer than 2 weeks consecutively.
