Cucumber Seaweed Salad with Sesame
Removes dampness, cools heat, clears the bladder, promotes urination

Ingrediënten
- 2 cucumbers (thinly sliced)
- 10g dried seaweed (wakame or hijiki, soaked)
- 1 tbsp black sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 2 spring onions (sliced into rings)
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 cm fresh ginger (grated)
Bereiding
- Soak dried seaweed for 10 minutes in cold water. Drain and cut into small pieces.
- In a bowl, mix rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey and grated ginger to make a dressing.
- Add cucumber slices, seaweed and spring onions. Toss gently.
- Toast black and white sesame seeds briefly in a dry pan (1-2 minutes).
- Sprinkle the salad with toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately chilled or at room temperature.
Gebruiksadvies
Eat as a side dish with warm meals, 2-3 times per week. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Very suitable for warm and damp weather. Do not eat too much with cold stomach.
Contra-indicaties
Not for use with spleen-qi deficiency with diarrhea, cold stomach, pregnancy, or gout.
