Cucumber Seaweed Salad with Sesame

Removes dampness, cools heat, clears the bladder, promotes urination

Ingrediënten

  • 2 cucumbers (thinly sliced)
  • 10g dried seaweed (wakame or hijiki, soaked)
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 2 spring onions (sliced into rings)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 cm fresh ginger (grated)

Bereiding

  1. Soak dried seaweed for 10 minutes in cold water. Drain and cut into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey and grated ginger to make a dressing.
  3. Add cucumber slices, seaweed and spring onions. Toss gently.
  4. Toast black and white sesame seeds briefly in a dry pan (1-2 minutes).
  5. Sprinkle the salad with toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Serve immediately chilled or at room temperature.

Gebruiksadvies

Eat as a side dish with warm meals, 2-3 times per week. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Very suitable for warm and damp weather. Do not eat too much with cold stomach.

Contra-indicaties

Not for use with spleen-qi deficiency with diarrhea, cold stomach, pregnancy, or gout.
