Ginger Lamb Stew with Cinnamon and Fennel

Ingrediënten

  • 500g lamb meat (cubed)
  • 5 cm fresh ginger (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 liter water
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 2 cloves
  • Optional: 1 tbsp honey

Bereiding

  1. Heat coconut oil in a stew pot. Brown the lamb on all sides (5-7 minutes).
  2. Add onion, garlic and ginger. Cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Add cinnamon sticks, fennel seeds, black pepper and optional cloves.
  4. Add water and soy sauce. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until meat is tender.
  6. Add honey if desired before serving.
  7. Serve hot with black rice or quinoa.

Gebruiksadvies

Eat as a warm meal, 1-2 times per week. Serve hot. Very suitable in winter or for cold symptoms. Preferably eat at midday for optimal absorption.

Contra-indicaties

Not for use with excessive heat, high blood pressure, gout, or acute infections with fever.
