Ginger Lamb Stew with Cinnamon and Fennel

Ingrediënten
- 500g lamb meat (cubed)
- 5 cm fresh ginger (thinly sliced)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tbsp fennel seeds
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 liter water
- 2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 2 cloves
- Optional: 1 tbsp honey
Bereiding
- Heat coconut oil in a stew pot. Brown the lamb on all sides (5-7 minutes).
- Add onion, garlic and ginger. Cook for 3 minutes.
- Add cinnamon sticks, fennel seeds, black pepper and optional cloves.
- Add water and soy sauce. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until meat is tender.
- Add honey if desired before serving.
- Serve hot with black rice or quinoa.
Gebruiksadvies
Eat as a warm meal, 1-2 times per week. Serve hot. Very suitable in winter or for cold symptoms. Preferably eat at midday for optimal absorption.
Contra-indicaties
Not for use with excessive heat, high blood pressure, gout, or acute infections with fever.
