Ginger Scallion Restorative Tea

Ingrediënten

  • 5 slices fresh ginger (with skin, crushed)
  • 2 scallions (white part only, chopped)
  • 300ml water
  • Optional: 1 tsp honey or brown sugar

Bereiding

  1. Wash ginger and crush with knife. Do not peel (skin is more warming).
  2. Wash scallions, cut white part into small pieces.
  3. Bring water to a boil. Add ginger and scallion.
  4. Simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  5. Optional: add honey or brown sugar for sweetness.
  6. Strain the tea. Drink hot.
  7. After drinking, dress warmly and rest to promote sweating.

Drink at first sign of cold, 2-3 cups per day. Drink hot and then dress warmly to promote sweating.

Contra-indicaties

Not for use with clear Heat symptoms (yellow throat, yellow phlegm, high fever, thirst), yin deficiency with night sweats, or during pregnancy without guidance.
