Pear Radish Lung-Clearing Soup

Transforms Phlegm, clears Heat, purifies Lungs

Ingrediënten

  • 1 Chinese pear (peeled, cored, cubed)
  • 100g white radish (daikon, peeled, thinly sliced)
  • 5g dried lily bulb
  • 2 slices fresh ginger
  • 600ml water
  • Optional: 1 tbsp rock sugar

Bereiding

  1. Peel pear, remove core, cut into cubes.
  2. Peel radish and cut into thin slices.
  3. Soak lily bulb in water for 10 minutes, then drain.
  4. Bring water to a boil. Add pear, radish, lily bulb and ginger.
  5. Simmer gently for 30 minutes.
  6. Optional: add rock sugar for sweetness.
  7. Serve warm.

Gebruiksadvies

Drink as soup with lunch or dinner, 3-4 times per week during acute phlegm-heat. Drink warm.

Contra-indicaties

Not for use with spleen qi deficiency with diarrhea, extreme cold constitution, or during pregnancy (radish may stimulate contractions).
