Red Date Longan Congee

Ingrediënten

  • 50g white rice (round grain)
  • 8 red dates (jujube, pitted)
  • 15g dried longan (flesh)
  • 10g goji berries
  • 600ml water
  • Optional: 1 tsp honey

Bereiding

  1. Wash rice until water runs clear.
  2. Cut red dates into pieces, remove pits. Rinse longan and goji berries.
  3. Bring water to a boil. Add rice and red dates.
  4. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add longan and goji berries.
  6. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until congee is creamy.
  7. Optional: add honey before serving.
  8. Serve warm.

Gebruiksadvies

Eat as breakfast or evening meal, 3-4 times per week. Serve warm.

Contra-indicaties

Not for use with acute colds, hot flashes, dry mouth with red tongue (Yin deficiency Heat), or severe digestive issues.
