Sweet Potato Ginger Congee

Builds Spleen Qi, warms the Middle, dries Dampness

Ingrediënten

  • 50g white rice (round grain rice)
  • 100g sweet potato (peeled, cubed)
  • 3 slices fresh ginger (peeled)
  • 800ml water

Bereiding

  1. Wash rice until water runs clear.
  2. Peel sweet potato and cut into small cubes.
  3. Bring water to a boil. Add rice and sweet potato.
  4. Simmer gently for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add ginger for the last 5 minutes.
  6. Remove ginger before serving.

Gebruiksadvies

Eat as breakfast, 3-4 times per week. Serve warm.

Contra-indicaties

Not for use with acute fever, clear yin deficiency heat (night sweats, red tongue without coating), or constipation due to heat.
